What does it all mean? Which Book are Cameron Stewart and Brendan Fletcher supposedly doing? Does it have anything to do with Rich Johnson's "DC Band Aid" Theory? Lets take a look at the clues from Bleeding Cool, and the respective twitters.
As apposed to what the New 52 is currently like possibly (Characters wearing armour, and "grimdark" story lines). According to Rich Johnson, DC is planning a sort of "Band-Aid" in advance of the two month move to Burbank in the spring. This way, DC has books already published for their 2 months spent moving. Johnson claims that these comics will be some sort of call back or cross over with pre-52 continuity. Perhaps the comment about comics being "more like this" is because Stewart is drawing old-52 related content.
CLUE #2: "You wouldn't believe us if we told you"
I suppose if you told someone that you were writing a New 52 and Pre-52 crossover they wouldn't believe you. It's a pretty farfetched idea, but if Johnson is right, then it's going to happen. The next thing clue brings it all full circle.
CLUE #3: "I’ve been told to expect some names more associated with digital. More associated with indie books."
Could you consider both these guys "indie" writers? Probably. I guess it all depends on your definition of indie.
I guess we will find out what this project this is in 6 weeks at Comic-Con (or possibly before that). If were lucky, hopefully this book wont be a part of this band-aid project, and will be a well needed ongoing series that isn't like the "regular" DC Comics. Maybe then all the people online will stop grilling DC 24/7. I doubt it though, I mean, Matt Fraction, Kelly Sue DeConnick, and Kieron Gillen don't write anything for DC. Zing.
